The Lone Star Battle has come to a close. Under the bright lights of Arlington’s Globe Life Field, the Texas Rangers and the Houston Astros fought it out in Game 5 of the American League Championship Series. The contest entailed multiple ties, lead changes, and even a brawl to top it all off. The fans stayed on the edge of their seats as the Astros edged out the Texas Rangers with a 5-4 margin in a nail-biter. The Astros secured a 3-2 lead in the ALCS, thanks to the remarkable performance by Jose Altuve.

With the Astros team all up in celebration, the result saw the Bochy’s Boys being left heartbroken. However, amidst all the upheaval, MLB legend Alex Rodriguez gave the losing Rangers “three ways” to keep their spirits up.

A-Rod has seen it all and is no stranger to the ups and downs of professional sports. During the post-match session at MLB on Fox, the Yankees veteran had a few kind words for the losing side. Alex Rodriguez stated, “Three ways, number one, you’re (Rangers) going on the road. Number two, you’re right, you have Nathan Eovaldi. And number three, their offense broke out, and Garcia hit a huge home run, they got to Verlander. They battled to the ninth; they didn’t lose this game, the Houston Astros won it with Altuve.

The ex-baseballer also praised Adolis Garcia’s outstanding performance, in particular his massive home run that brought the game close. On top of everything, he specifically mentioned Nathan Eovaldi. According to A-Rod, Eovaldi wasn’t just a pitcher, instead, he was a pillar for the Rangers squad and was unstoppable when it came to the postseason.

Although it wasn’t the first time, A-Rod was all praises for the Rangers’ ace pitcher.

A-Rod’s history of praising Eovaldi

A-Rod as of late seems to be impressed by Nathan Eovaldi. Only recently on a panel discussion, A-Rod dubbed the 33-year-old pitcher as the “best arm” he’s ever played with. While his statement seemed worthy of debate, there is no doubt that Eovaldi has been exceptional as of late. The Rangers star has an ERA of 2.87 along in 14 postseason appearances in his career.
