MLB legend Derek Jeter needs no introduction. The former shortstop established such a name for himself that even years after retirement, he’s still being talked about. After serving a twenty-season career with the New York Yankees, Jeter hung up his uniform in 2014. Since then, the five-time World Series champion has invested himself in more familial pursuits.

After marrying model Hannah Davis in 2016, whom he met in 2012, Jeter has become a family man. And after a brief stint as the CEO of the Miami Marlins, the 48-year-old has yet to dip his toes into business again. Now a father of three kids, Jeter loves being a girl dad. Even though his toddlers sometimes give him a hard time, the retired athlete could not seem more proud as a parent.

Derek Jeter calls his time with his daughters controlled chaos
Jeter recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon after six years, and the two chatted quite a bit about Jeter’s life. One of the first things Fallon asked his friend was how he was faring with his daughters. While Jeter jokingly thanked Jimmy for taking his time inviting him back to the show, he also talked fondly about his girls.

“Controlled chaos is the best way to put it…they do my nails, toenails, makeup, lipstick. And you know, it’s the greatest thing I’ve ever experienced though. I mean my girls are – they’re the absolute best,” the former Yankee told Fallon.

As the audience clapped for him, Jeter humorously said he was dreading their teenage years because that’s when they turn rebellious. And thirteen years is the age when they start hating parents in general. But Fallon reassured him it was just a rumor.
