Nothing against Rolen but no one ever showed up to game saying "yes, I came here to see Scott Rolen!!!" He's not HOF caliber, he's just Hall of Good…and that's really what Cooperstown has become

I mean he was really good. But without Whitaker, Murphy not being in there can't take it too seriously anymore.

Scott Rolen stands alone in the place of baseball immortality as the only player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame on the voting ballot. His 76.3% vote tally was more than enough to secure his place among the game’s greats. He was also the only player to surpass the 75% threshold required for selection.
Meanwhile, Fred McGriff’s outstanding career had been recognized by the Hall of Fame’s Contemporary Era Committee, as they voted him into Cooperstown with a unanimous 16 out of 16 votes, a few weeks back.
He was the only player out of the eight on the Contemporary Era ballot to earn the honor. While Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, and Curt Schilling fell short of the 12 votes needed for induction.
