With 14 home runs this season, the Yankees captain is on his way to another excellent season, even if his team might be struggling. After a strong opener against the Baltimore Orioles, the Bronx team lost the rest of the series. In the next match-up, the San Diego Padres also scored a victory against them. But ahead of that game, Judge shared a special moment with a young fan.

Aaron Judge meets a kid from the ‘Make A Wish’ foundation and gives away his gloves

Ahead of the game, Judge met Brooke from the Make-A-Wish Foundation. “You deserve batting gloves here, alright? You’re gonna bring us some luck tonight so need you to hold on to these tight okay? Every time I come up to hit, make sure you’re holding on to ’em, alright?” the Captain told the teenager. He talked to the kid’s family and shook hands with everyone; there were big smiles all around.

As Brooke thanked Judge, he said, “You’re welcome. Great to see you, great to see you guys! Take care.” After he left, the family hugged each other with happy faces. Interestingly, this is not the first time a pinstriped player, including All-Rise, has made a gesture like this for a fan. Both Anthony Rizzo, who is a cancer survivor, and Jose Trevino have met kids from Make-A-Wish families.
