Despite having a couple of the best players, the LA Angels are on a losing streak. This year marks the team’s seventh consecutive losing season.

The team right now has the three times AL MVP Mike Trout and the two-way star player Shohei Ohtani, and even then, the team is struggling pretty badly this year. The team has won only 61 games this season, while they lost 82. The Angels have not made it to the postseason of Major League Baseball since 2015. And they also have not won any playoff game since the year 2009.

With the team’s continued substandard play over the years, the owner of the team, Arte Moreno, and his family decided last month that it was time to let go of the ownership.

Therefore, Moreno announced“It has been a great honor and privilege to own the Angels for 20 seasons. Although this difficult decision was entirely our choice and deserved a great deal of thoughtful consideration, my family and I have ultimately come to the conclusion that now is the time.”

Throughout the 61 seasons that the LA Angels have played in Major League Baseball, they have only once won the World Series Title in 2002. Accordingly, Trout and Ohtani cannot do it alone. Therefore, the owner has retained Galatioto Sports Partners as financial advisors to help sell the team.

However, fans agree with Moreno’s decision, while some want to trade off Ohtani and Trout.

A user said that there are other franchises in the League with worse records in comparison to Angels, but they didn’t have Mike Trout with them.
