MLB great Derek Jeter knows how to keep his fans hooked. Throughout his entire storied baseball career, Jeter rarely ever gave a peek into his personal life. The moments when he eventually did give a peek, the former player left many surprised. While talking about those moments, one can never forget when the MLB great, 5x World Champion, gave in to peer pressure and finally landed on the three social media platforms, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Now, it’s been almost a year since Jeter shocked the fans and the social media landscape. But the question of Mr. November joining in on other platforms like TikTok still lingers in the minds of his fans. Most recently, during the last day of Turn 2 Foundation’s Invitational Gala, Derek Jeter imparted his thoughts upon entering the world of performers.

What did Derek Jeter say about signing up on the platform with over 1.6 billion users?
As ubiquitously known, Captain Clutch is a person who never gives up. No matter the complexity of something, if he sets his mind on something, Jeter will work harder on it than many but would never give up or say never to it. While playing golf on the celebrity-only day, Jeter spoke about why he joined social media in the first place, and if his fans would ever see him on TikTok. To the latter, Derek said, “No. I can’t say never because I said never about social media to begin with. But, I highly, highly, highly, doubt it. I’m not interesting enough.”
Not hearing never from the Captain himself, gave the idea to Jeter’s media platform to think, “Sooo what we’re hearing is that there’s a chance you’ll get on TikTok? @derekjeter.”

Derek was not going to let him get stuck in the dilemma. Replying to the video on Twitter, he wrote, “Good try… but no chance.” You won’t ever know an answer if you don’t dare to ask the question. The Players’ Tribune did exactly that, shooting their shot, but they eventually got turned down.
How are the fans reacting to Jeter’s response?
Once again, Jeter has his fans in his corner, rooting for him and appreciating him, completely turning down the idea of ever being on TikTok.
Here’s how the fans are reacting to Jeter’s answer about ever signing up on TikTok:
