From Fenway Park to the Bronx, the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox’s rivalry ages back to the 1920s. Over the years, the long-time rivalry has blanketed various displays and changed from aggressive and violent exhibitions to more subtle ones today. And most recently, the Yanks have found one-up over their arch-rivals Red Sox after signing a veteran reliever.

Yes! While the Yankees fans are expecting any Aaron Judge news, the Pinstripes recently signed free agent pitcher Tommy Kahnle on a two-year contract for $11.5 million. This will be Kahnle’s second term with the Yanks. Notably, before signing the recent contract, Tommy played for the Yankees, Rockies, White Sox, and Dodgers in the past.

Now, as New Yorkers await the gigantic Aaron Judge signing, a decision to bring back Tommy Kahnle has been made by Brian Cashman, who recently signed his extension through 2026 with the Bronx Bombers.

Notably, The Yanks won the bidding war against their long-time rivals, the Boston Red Sox. Because apart from the Yankees, the Red Sox were also favorites to sign the reliever.

The most recent update on Aaron Judge is that the Giants offered the star outfielder a $360 million deal. However, the Giants are yet to hear back from Aaron Judge’s camp. With this offer, the Giants topped the New York Yankees’ initial offer to the 2022 AL MVP which was in the neighborhood of $300 million.
