Aaron Judge is presently a player in prime focus amongst the baseball community. He is on course to rewrite baseball records and register his own name atop. He is chasing a historical home run record at the moment. A particular home run that will place him above some vintage legends of baseball.

Judge now leads the batting statistics in all categories. Moreover, he tied Babe Ruth’s record of seasonal home runs. He is a striking distance away from equalling Roger Maris’ American League seasonal record of 61 home runs.

However, unlike fans and teammates, the opponents aren’t as excited to see Judge create his record. The opposition pitchers are walking him over. Consequently, Judge’s wait for the next historic home run is further extended. So much so the point that the public has got into the discussion on social media.

Aaron Judge: Still in wait for the next

Aaron Judge last scored a home run, six games ago. His record-tying home run came against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Following on, he played one more game against the Pirates, where he went silent. Next up was a four-game home series against the arch-rivals Boston Red Sox. Then, very recently, Judge and the Yankees played the opening game of an away series against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Yet Judge is searching for his 61st home run as he got walked over by the Blue Jays. Some accurate pitching from Blue Jays’ opening pitcher Kevin Gausman kept the Yankees tied at 2-2 until the 10th inning. Then relief pitcher Tim Mayza “intentionally” walked Judge in the 10th inning. With the scores tied, Blue Jays slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a walk-off run to win by a 3-2 margin.
