Another day, another drama in the Bronx. As if the New York Yankees didn’t have enough to deal with after last season’s rollercoaster, now they’re juggling egos off the field too. An $18 million veteran, once seen as a key piece, now finds himself in the crosshairs of frustrated fans and an even more frustrated front office. But hey, when you wear the pinstripes, the spotlight never dims—and if you can’t handle the heat, well… New York’s not for everyone.

It looks like Marcus Stroman is butting heads with the coach and the front office. He missed the first two training sessions with the New York Yankees and at one point even unfollowed the team on social media, which is huge when you live in the 21st century. But has the pitcher now joined the team again according to Bryan Hoch. The reported said on X, “Marcus Stroman has returned to Yankees camp.” The previous accounts said that Marcus Stroman was not required to report until Feb. 22 under the collective bargaining agreement (CBA).

Most of the players show up to training during the voluntary reporting period. But this was not the case with Marcus Stroman, who is physically and mentally fit to compete at the highest level again. The major hit was when Stroman was left off the Division Series roaster. This was because of his performances in late September going 0-3 with an 8.80 ERA.

During an interview, Aaron Boone said, “Of course I want him here and trying to keep nudging him to get here but, again, you also have to respect the fact that this is something that players are allowed to do.” With Marcus Stroman choosing to not come in early and take some extra time shows that he might still be getting ready for the new season. And taking these few extra days might just make the difference when he returns.

Looks like Stroman’s ready to face the music—and the mound—sooner than expected. While his absence stirred up the usual New York storm, the real noise will come from what he does with the ball in his hand. For now, New York Yankees fans can take a deep breath. After all, it’s not about how you start spring training—it’s about how you finish in October.

Spring training or spring drama? New York Yankees fans fire away at Marcus Stroman

Spring is supposed to bring new beginnings—but in the Bronx, it’s bringing new drama. Marcus Stroman’s late arrival to New York Yankees spring training has fans buzzing louder than the crack of a bat in batting practice. While some are ready to pack his bags for him, others are willing to wait and see if his arm can do the talking. After all, in New York, talent buys you time—but not too much of it.

Looks like the Yankees fans are already done with Stroman even before the spring training. The chants of “trade him” are loud and clear. But Stroman had the time to improve on his shortcomings. And if given time, he might just be able to show it. Marcus Stroman will have to step up from the start of the season and show the world why he is one of the best in pitching. And with this drama now, his actions will tell if he will be traded or stay in Pinstripes.

The arrival of Marcus Stroman to the Yankees camp should certainly help out. In the 30 appearances he made for the New York Yankees, Stroman had a win-loss record of 10-9. He had an above-average ERA of 4.31. But Stroman’s performance at home was less effective, with a 5.31 ERA over 16 appearances. This was a major factor in him not playing the postseason. And yet, the Bronx is not a fan after his antics.

The fans are sure not on Stroman’s side. They will be looking for his performances with an eagle eye and the pitcher will have to prove his worth to the fans. That seems to be the only way to turn things around for him. Many of the fans have the same feeling that they don’t want Marcus Stroman as a part of the Yankees team in 2025. But just one bad month does not throw away the rest of the great performances he has given.

As many fans want Stroman gone, there are some with a different view. These fans are just happy to see a superstar like Marcus Stroman back with the Yankees and seem to understand the importance of such a player in the rotation. He may not have had a great 2024 season, but 2025 is a new start for Stroman, and it looks like he is getting ready with his team in the training camp.

Many of the fans saw through the smokescreen and were sure that Marcus Stroman would return to the New York Yankees. Some reporters even tried to force an answer out of his teammates. It looks like the fans saw right through this and have called out the reporters for causing drama in the clubhouse. This drama might not have had a large effect on the team. However, it could still have a small impact on player chemistry.

Love him or hate him, Marcus Stroman is back—and the spotlight in the Bronx is brighter than ever. Sure, the fans have their pitchforks ready, but in a city that craves winners, all it takes is a few solid outings to turn jeers into cheers. If Stroman can deliver on the mound, even the loudest critics might just find themselves chanting, “Let’s go Yankees!” instead of asking for a trade.
