Kids are the power-packed small versions of adults, with almost never-ending energy. They can leave anyone speechless. It does not matter if the person in front of them is the baseball legend Derek Jeter himself.?While being a father to three girls, the shortstop was still unable to find the answers to the curveballs thrown at him by little ones.

Capital One presented “Curveballs for The Captain,” where MLB Hall of Famer and Legend Derek Jeter sat down with potential future Hall of Famers and Little League superstars. He sat down with them to answer some of their most pressing questions. But, to most of them, Jeter had no answers whatsoever.

What were some of the questions that left Derek Jeter speechless?

First came a little leaguer. He asked Jeter if he was ready for the heat the little leaguer is about to bring.?

To this, Jeter said nothing but,?“I’m nervous right now.”?Another kid asked the shortstop about his favorite team, to which he kept his mouth shut but had a good laugh on such a big pressing question from such a young man.

While many questions came towards the Hall of Famer, to one of them the athlete replied as if he had done something great. And in reality, he had done it. A young man came and asked Jeter if it was heavy to wear a championship ring. To this, he replied,?“try to wear all five at once.”

Then came a girl with a question that made the former baseball player question some things.?

Is Jeter on top of the kids’ slang?

Considering that the shortstop is a father to three young girls, it is expected of him to stay on top of at least some of the slang that kids use these days. He may or may not know many things, but for sure he did not know what floss meant.?

The young girl asked Jeter, “Do you know how to floss?” To this, a confusedJeter replied, “Dental floss?”?

As if she was waiting for the shortstop to say something like this, she got up from her seat and showed what a floss dance is. After being speechless for a moment, Jeter said,?“Ok yeah, I’ll try that at home when I’m alone by myself. I’m really not cool. I said dental floss.”
