Fans are doing their best to save Oakland Athletics!

In April this year, a couple of pictures surfaced that showed a possum living inside the walls of the stadium. Because of the same, visiting teams aren’t able to use the broadcasting booth either. Then, after hefty criticism and months of thinking, the team is now moving towards Las Vegas.?

However, the team’s apparent threats to move to Vegas have their fans rise up in fury. Therefore, the Athletics fanbase is planning a reverse boycott to let the baseball world know that fans are still here for their team. According to the Mercury News, they will pack up the Coliseum in the upcoming game of the team.?

The motto of fans to do so is to let the world know that the reason behind the Athletics being one of the worst teams is due to the management, but not the fans. The festivities or a full party of the reverse boycott will be starting as soon as the parking gates open before the game against the Tampa Bay Rays. But how much of a downfall did the Athletics endure after their glorious year in 2002.

While many would find it hard to believe, the Athletics, at one point, were one of the most exciting teams in MLB history. During the regular season, they won a total of 103 games, breaking the American League’s record by winning 20 in a row.?
