A-Rod’s name came up not once but twice in the names of people with PED usage charges. Using steroids is one of the primary reasons for Alex not getting inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. His many records, to this date, are considered tainted because of PEDs usage. Because of this, A-Rod also got suspended from the Major Leagues from August 8, 2013, to the end of the 2014 season.
But, he has done quite a few good things as well and Ultimate Fighting Championship aka UFC president Dana White believed the same. And he also came forward to defend the baseball player after he got suspended and everyone was criticizing him for the same.
What did Dana say about Alex Rodriguez?
The UFC president joined Fox Sports Live in August 2013 to talk about UFC and many other things, including A-Rod. While talking about Alex, he shared a personal experience in which the baseball player helped in saving his life.
White talked about getting diagnosed with Meniere’s disease, known to cause damage to the nerves. He described how Alex helped him out with the situation. While recalling the incident, White opened up on how Alex called him and told him about a place in Dusseldorf, Germany.
“He referred me to get in and completely changed my life, so for all the negative things that are on A-Rod right now, the guy’s done some good things too,” said White for A-Rod.

All in all, Alex has made many mistakes in his life. Notably, he acknowledges what he has done, but obviously cannot change it. What he can do is urge other people and players to learn from his mistakes and be better.
Will Alex ever become a Hall of Famer?
Rodriguez got eligible to get into Cooperstown for the HOF class of 2022. But he did not get in as he could not get enough votes in his favor. This way primarily because of his involvement with the PEDs.
