This year, one of the top stories is the return of San Diego Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. He has returned with a vengeance and played some really good baseball. Most recently, he left the fans amazed with a stunning defensive effort.

Fernando Tatis Jr. showed off his defensive talent during the Padres’ latest game

Fernando Tatis Jr. has been great in his comeback season thus far, making waves with his batting ability. But most recently, the Padres outfielder showed off his defensive prowess with a fantastic play. During the team’s most recent game, he made a stunning defensive play from the outfield to stop a runner from reaching third base.

He picked up the ball and threw it in a smooth motion. His right arm was similar to a cannon, launching the ball directly to get the out. Fans were left stunned by the play as the Padres shared a video of it on Twitter.

In a Tweet, the team said, “NANDO SAID NO 😤”, while sharing a video of the stunning defense. The play closed out the seventh inning and helped hype the Padres players.

Unfortunately for the star outfielder, his team was unable to put any more runs on the board and ultimately lost. It was a close 5-4 game, but the Padres couldn’t beat the Kansas City Royals. But Tatis Jr. has been great so far this season and has really improved the Padres.

Coming back from a long break from the game, Fernando Tatis Jr. has adjusted really well. Although he struggled a little during his first few games, the star outfielder has since acclimatized himself to the situation. He missed a chunk of last season due to injury and a PED suspension.

Furthermore, he also missed the first 20 games of the current season because of that ban. But Tatis Jr. is now making the most of his season and contributing on both sides of the game.
