The Los Angeles Dodgers are adapting well to the challenges at present. But the same can’t be said of their reporters, sadly. American Family Field was witness to hilarious scenes as Los Angeles Dodgers reporter David Vassegh struggled on his way down Bernie’s Slide at the Milwaukee Brewers ballpark.

David Vassegh is a sports reporter and talk show host. Vassegh primarily covers reports on the Los Angeles Dodgers games and is the co-host of the radio podcast ‘Dodger Talk’.

While Vassegh is a veteran reporter, he didn’t seem like a pro-slider. He slid down Bernie’s Slide and hit a wall at the end. The scene did make up for a few laughs for his fellow broadcasters. But indeed, he must have been in considerable pain, nonetheless.

As Vassegh ended up smashing against a support wall, he reportedly fractured his right hand and broke six ribs. Looking at a video clip of the incident, Dodgers broadcasters Nomar Garciaparra and Joe Davis couldn’t stop laughing hysterically.

Nonetheless, an injured Vassegh put up a brave front and proved to be a genuinely sporty spirit. He later appeared on the broadcast with a plaster-cast hand and waved a ‘Hye’. Vassegh even joked about his injury in a blog writing, “skinny fat body can’t handle it.” Dodgers players Cody Bellinger, Justin Turner, David Price, and the team’s trainers all checked up on Vassegh post-injury.

The Los Angeles Team’s form par excellence

With Mookie Betts and fresh recruit Freddie Freeman putting in grand batting performances, the team is enjoying a royal time. The Dodgers defeated the Brewers by a 2-1 margin on Wednesday. With an imposing 81-36 win-loss record, the Dodgers are now the National League West chart toppers. The players only need to avoid trying Bernie’s Slide.
