A game at an MLB associate league witnessed some wild scenes last month. Players often act out of character due to anger and frustration. Sometimes, such acts of fury come from the umpires’ too. Online sports analyst Jomboy recently shared some footage of the game on his Twitter account.

He did so again on some footage from an Atlantic minor league baseball game between the Lancaster Barnstormers and the High Point Rockers.

When MLB Affiliate League witnessed some rare umpiring frenzy 

An Atlantic league game was the stage for some shocking incidents in the month of July. It was a game between the Barnstormers and Rockers. The actions unfolded in the bottom of the extra innings.

The game ended in a clash between the umpire and the two teams. The Barnstormers were able to win a highly competitive game, due to a mistake by the first base umpire. The Rockers attempted a double play to wrap up the inning. But umpire PJ McConville declared the running batter safe at first base.

So, as a result, another runner could touch home base and complete the victorious run. Thus, the Barnstormers won the thriller defeating the Rockers by a 3-2 margin in extra innings. As a result, the first baseman Logan Morrison threw the ball and his glove away in frustration. Morrison got into a heated argument with umpire Nate Caldwell, who was standing at another position.

Caldwell soon ejected Morrison and tried to walk away from the verbal battle. But Morrison went chasing and Caldwell’s shoe fell off on the way. Mistaking that to be Morrison’s doing, Caldwell flung his shoe up in the air. At this point, the entire Rockers unit gathered.

The aftermath of the tussle 

While the Barnstormers got adjudged as winners, the entire enraged Rockers staff joined in the dispute. In fact, even the Barnstormers staff joined in to interrupt the extending fight. As Caldwell got escorted out of the park by game officials, he ejected every player and management member in sight.
