A game at an MLB associate league witnessed some wild scenes last month. Players often act out of character due to anger and frustration. Sometimes, such acts of fury come from the umpires’ too. Online sports analyst Jomboy recently shared some footage of the game on his Twitter account.

Everybody plays to win and likewise, hates to lose after all the effort put in. So when things don’t go as planned, it’s obvious for a player or a bunch of players to lose their cool. But while withstanding games for long hours, the heat may often catch up with umpires too.

The game ended in a clash between the umpire and the two teams. The Barnstormers were able to win a highly competitive game, due to a mistake by the first base umpire. The Rockers attempted a double play to wrap up the inning. But umpire PJ McConville declared the running batter safe at first base.

So, as a result, another runner could touch home base and complete the victorious run. Thus, the Barnstormers won the thriller defeating the Rockers by a 3-2 margin in extra innings. As a result, the first baseman Logan Morrison threw the ball and his glove away in frustration. Morrison got into a heated argument with umpire Nate Caldwell, who was standing at another position.

Caldwell soon ejected Morrison and tried to walk away from the verbal battle. But Morrison went chasing and Caldwell’s shoe fell off on the way. Mistaking that to be Morrison’s doing, Caldwell flung his shoe up in the air. At this point, the entire Rockers unit gathered.

The aftermath of the tussle

While the Barnstormers got adjudged as winners, the entire enraged Rockers staff joined in the dispute. In fact, even the Barnstormers staff joined in to interrupt the extending fight. As Caldwell got escorted out of the park by game officials, he ejected every player and management member in sight.
