VIDEO: Yankees’ Aaron Judge Showcases Classy On-Field Leadership by De-escalating Near Bench-Clearing Brawl After Being Drilled by Jays Pitcher

Aaron Judge has stepped up for the New York Yankees again. However, on this occasion, it was for a different reason. The Yankees did manage to win their latest concluded game against the Toronto Blue Jays. But most importantly, the game survived without a possible bench clearing. 

Judge is a famous outfielder for the New York Yankees and is popular for his strong hitting skills and athletic fielding. He is a prolific home run scorer. Making his MLB debut in 2016, he is a four-time All-Star player.

The Yankees have given some excellent performances this season. Judge has made extraordinary contributions in most of those victories. The prime reason that makes him one of the most valuable players for the team. So his teammates rushed out in anger after he got hit in the last game against the Blue Jays. 

Aaron Judge ensures the show goes on 

The Yankees stand at the top of the American League East rankings. In addition, Aaron Judge is the highest home run scorer in the ongoing season. But all facts are courtesy of the dominant form that both Judge and the Yankees displayed until the mid-tournament break. After the All-Star game, matters have gone in the wrong direction for the Yankees.

Off-late, the Yankees are struggling to make any impact, continuously losing games and series altogether. Even Judge’s red-hot bat producing thunderous home runs has frozen. While other teams are closing-in, it’s a ‘do-or-die’ situation for the Yankees now. The fans are losing patience, and so did the Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone.

At a recent press conference, Boone lashed out at his team in frustration. Maybe, as a result, the players got pumped up and determined to win the next game at any cost. The Yankees were up against the Blue Jays, and Judge was facing pitcher Alek Manoah from the mound. With the first base open, Judge got hit by a pitch.

Suspecting foul play, the enraged Yankees players were furious. And pitcher Gerrit Cole ran out of the dugout. Cole shouted at Manoah, with benches looking set to steer clear. But Judge soon acted as the pacifier, sending Cole and the other teammates back to the dugout.
