Best known for his travel content creation, the $30 million YouTube sensation is in the middle of his 35-day America Tour, titled “Speed Does America.” During his stop in Pittsburgh, IShowSpeed threw the ceremonial first pitch at PNC Park before the Pirates went up against the Milwaukee Brewers. True to his style, he followed up his pitch with his signature backflip. As wild as that was, it wasn’t the peak moment. The 20-year-old’s day at the ballpark went even further.

Behind the scenes, Speed also stepped into the batting cage alongside Andrew McCutchen and Tommy Pham. While both McCutchen and Pham doubted Speed’s ability, he managed to make contact with the ball, and that one single foul tip out of 15 pitches was enough for him to prove Pham and McCutchen wrong.

He was overjoyed after he found his little slice of payback against McCutchen’s doubts about his abilities. Speed’s batting cage appearance with the Pirates legend was arguably more entertaining than the game itself, where Pittsburgh fell 4-1 to the Brewers.
Yet, that’s not what’s catching the most attention. It’s, in fact, Speed’s appearance and throw at the mound, which is being described as a “perfect strike.”

Before his Pittsburgh stop, Speed stopped in Boston with NBA great Jaylen Brown. Both of them kicked things off at the Boston Tea Party, where they had some fun messing around with tea and even tried a bit of Muay Thai for laughs. They explored Downtown Crossing too and that’s where Jaylen challenged the streamer to a race with serious stakes.
The bet was if Speed loses the race, he’d have to drop “Speed” from his name. Phew, somehow luckily he just managed to outrun Jaylen and keep his name intact. Meanwhile, for the Pirates, having IShowSpeed at PNC Park was the highlight of an otherwise disappointing night.
Pirates’ lifeless offense was the culprit in 4-1 loss to the Brewers
The Pirates struggled mightily at the plate and ended up losing 4-1 to the Milwaukee Brewers at PNC Park. This marked their second straight loss to the Brewers, following a 5-2 defeat in the series opener a day before. That loss snapped their seven-game winning streak at home from the previous set of series.
It also marks their seven back-to-back losses against the Brewers this season. they have surrendered the past five games before this at American Family Field. They’ve dropped 3-8 this season against their divisional foe. The pirates now stand at a 64-79 overall record and a 42-32 record at home. Meanwhile, the Brewers improved to 88-55 overall after this game.

In the latest loss, Pirates’ right-hander Mitch Keller gave up a leadoff double to Milwaukee in the top of the first inning. Keller kept the Brewers scoreless. He retired left fielder Jackson Chourio on a fly out, second baseman Brice Turang on a ground out, and catcher William Contreras on another fly out.
DH Bryan Reynolds managed a single with two outs in the bottom of the first. However, the Pirates had a tough time hitting against Brewers’ righty Brandon Woodruff. He baffled Pirates hitters throughout and retired 15 consecutive batters. Now, the Pirates will try to avoid the sweep by the Brewers in the series finale on Sunday.
