Alex Rodriguez is a legendary name that stirs controversy in the baseball world. Although he is a game legend, multiple incidents, including PED usage, harmed his image. Furthermore, it removed him from the list of elite greats in the eyes of some current players. Most recently, a Toronto Blue Jays star left A-Rod in the wind while naming his GOAT of baseball.

The Blue Jays star, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., expressed this opinion days after a stunning performance during the All-Star weekend. While opening up about some of the greatest players ever, he shunned A-Rod.

Batboysbaseball shared a video of the interview on Instagram. Instead of prescribing one player, Guerrero Jr. called five. But while doing so, he snubbed Alex Rodriguez by naming him and then taking it back. In the interview, Guerrero Jr. said, “I’ll give you 5. Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, Barry Bonds, A-Rod, no no wait.”

A-Rod May Miss Out on the Hall of Fame

Alex Rodriguez still has time to be elected to the Hall of Fame, but he may be unlikely to be given the honor. In recent years, the Hall has never given players associated with steroids the massive honor. It is seen as a disgrace to the game.

Unless they lighten their thoughts on the issue, it seems unlikely Rodriguez will get a reprieve. Furthermore, despite improving his image in recent years, people still remember the scandal.
