Remember how right after Aaron Judge’s heroics and the Yankees’ big Game 3 comeback, Big Papi had to eat his words? He admitted on the FOX MLB show, “I tell you what, Jazz wasn’t wrong saying the Yankees might be the best team in the American League. They showed tonight what they should’ve been doing all along. That’s the Yankees team that’s dominated that division for years.”

Fans still remember Derek Jeter teasing Ortiz for walking back his earlier comments on the show.
But fast-forward to Game 4. The Jays took down the Yankees, knocking them out of the 2025 ALDS. And this time, the vibe on the FOX panel was completely different. Ortiz had switched sides, teaming up with Toronto’s hero Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to take some playful shots at the Yankees. All that in front of Jeter and Alex Rodriguez!

“Vladdy Jr. just did “DAAAAAA YANKEES LOSE!” MLB shared the hilarious clip via X. Drenched in celebratory beer, Vladdy was seen announcing, “DAAAAAA YANKEES LOSE!” Laughing and clapping with the statement, David Ortiz repeated the same.
Undoubtedly it’s the Blue Jays’ night, or perhaps the year… Considering how they were winning in the regular season, winning the division championship, and now ALDS first time since 2016, this year looks like a Jays’ year.

Guerrero and George Springer each knocked in a run, and the Blue Jays’ bullpen absolutely silenced the Yankees in a 5-2 win on Wednesday night. What was supposed to be a tough game for Toronto, with no true starter on the mound, turned into a showcase of bullpen brilliance.
Notably, eight pitchers combined to hold New York in check. None threw more than 27 pitches, and the Yankees’ bats just couldn’t find a way through.
As they’ve done all series, the Blue Jays struck first. Once again, it was Guerrero leading the charge with an RBI single.
Now, we cannot help but remember when Guerrero made it clear he only wanted to play for a “winning team” before committing long-term to Toronto. Some fans wondered if the Jays could really build around a talent like him. But now, here they are, heading to the ALCS and waiting for their next target.
The Blue Jays can’t have enough of the Yankees
The Blue Jays’ trolling the Yankees is not stopping with Guerrero joining Ortiz on the live show, but the clubhouse is witnessing more.
Reportedly, for years, Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” has been the Yankees’ trademark victory anthem. You would hear the song that echoes through Yankee Stadium after every win. But on Wednesday night, the Blue Jays flipped the script.
After their 5-2 Game 4 win ended New York’s season, Toronto celebrated in the visitors’ clubhouse much like the Red Sox did back in 2018.
They blasted Sinatra’s classic as a playful jab!

Manager John Schneider kicked off the postgame party by shouting, “Start spreading the news!” The Blue Jays marked their first ALCS berth since 2016. And they didn’t stop there.
To really twist the knife, the Jays even played Aaron Judge’s walk-up song during the celebration! That’s a cheeky nod to the Yankees’ captain on a night when Toronto owned the Bronx.
