This season, in the name of Julio Rodriguez, MLB has got another superstar for the future.

Playing for the Seattle Mariners, Julio Rodriguez showed a glimpse of what he can do with his bat in the ballpark. The Mariners’ youngster blasted his first-ever home run against the Miami Marlins in the series finale on Sunday.

With his brilliant performance from the plate, the Mariners defeated the Marlins in the last game of the series. The Mariners also put a stop to the seven-game winning streak of the Miami Marlins.

The Mariners’ players did not like this attitude, and they wanted to respond with their game. Julio Rodriguez, who is playing in his rookie year, took revenge in the most fascinated way. The 31-years-old smashed his first career home run to win the game for the Mariners. It was a three-run homer. Later, he said that he felt good to get his first homer in an intense game like that.

“That was a first — and that’s what they got,” Rodriguez said. “It was ‘OK, you want to challenge me, I’m going to give you the challenge. That is what I was feeling. ‘You want it? Let’s go.’ … I was really excited, honestly. It felt really good to get my first homer in a game like that.”

With Rodriguez’s remarkable performance, the Seattle Mariners won the game 7-3 against the Marlins. However, it is still early to judge Rodriguez’s future based on one game. But, by the end of the season, we will get our answers.
