Seems like nothing is going right for the Boston Red Sox this season. Currently, fourth in the American League East standings, the Red Sox have been very in the 2022 season. Recently, the Red Sox even lost a game against an average side like the Baltimore Orioles. That too because of a mistaken throw. 

Right from the start of the season, they lost their opening day game against the arch-rivals New York Yankees. And now they are struggling in their division. Their recent outing against the Orioles sums up how terrible the Red Sox have been playing lately.

Under the guidance of Alex Cora, the Boston Red Sox is proving to be one of the most disappointing teams of the 2022 MLB season. While their arch-rival New York Yankees are sitting at the top of the AL East standings.

Baltimore Orioles stun Boston Red Sox with a walk-off win

Not only the Boston Red Sox but the Orioles have also defeated the New York Yankees in a three-game series this season. However, this defeat against the Orioles will be very painful for the Red Sox.

Because the Orioles were in no position to win the game. But thanks to a wayward throw from the Red Sox pitcher Hirokazu Sawamura, the Orioles registered a walk-off win. The video of this gameplay is going viral on the internet. In the video, one can see how the Red Sox catcher misses catching the throw from Sawamura and the Orioles do the walk-off in the ballpark.

The Orioles won the game 2-1 against the Red Sox. Had the Red Sox won the game, they would have also won the series. But now with one win for each side, both teams will clash for the decider game on Sunday.

If the Orioles manage to win the third game, the Boston Red Sox will lose their fourth consecutive series this season. In their last 11 games, the Red Sox have won only three games. And if things do not get better for the Red Sox, they might even go trophyless in the 2022 season.
