WATCH: Aroldis Chapman Shows Up in a Swanky Car Before Joining New York Yankees’ Active Roster

After missing over a month of MLB games due to injury, Aroldis Chapman is all set to join the active roster of the New York Yankees. Yes! The Yankees activated their relief pitcher from the injured list on Friday. The 34-year-old reliever had suffered an injury in his left Achilles tendon.

Though Chapman coming off the injured list is good news, his recent appearance in his swanky car has become a popular event. And the whole internet is talking about his tank-shaped car. While recovering from his injury, Chapman was active in minor league games. He made two Double-A appearances and one Triple-A appearance during his rehab assignment.

Talking about the Yankees’ defense, Aaron Boone has everything covered. In the name of Nestor Cortes Jr., Gerrit Cole, Jameson Taillon, and Luis Severino, the Yankees have a few of the best pitchers in MLB. But having an extra option always gives an extra edge to the management. And that’s why the Yankees have called Chapman for their active roster.

Let’s not talk about his performance for a while. The Yankees’ pitcher likes to drive classy cars. And his recent appearance is enough to tell about his passion for cars. Recently, after completing his Double-A rehab assignment, Chapman left the place in what looked like a tank-shaped car.

A video of the same is doing rounds on the internet. Taking to Twitter, Talkin Yanks shared the clip and captioned it, “man casually drives a tank.”

In an old interview with YES Network, Chapman revealed his love for cars. The Yankees star said it was his dream to get lots of cars.

“In Cuba, we have a lot of cars. Most of those cars are plastic cars from the 1960s… You develop a passion for sharing things,” Chapman said. “As a kid, you dream about having or what if you could get something in the future…”

“I have been blessed with the opportunity to be where I am today, where you know, have a passion for cars… But yeah, I want to say those are my passions.”

Per TMZ.com, Chapman has a Lamborghini, a Rolls-Royce, two SUVs, and a custom-made Rhino GX in his car collection.
