While many of us will have a memory of having gone to a ballpark to watch a game, perhaps a few of us have some memories that have stuck with us through the years. Perhaps, an iconic home run or a foul ball that you latched onto in the stands. And as the Blue Jays took on the Los Angeles Angels, a fan in the stands created a visual that many in the ballpark will remember far past the day’s ball game. The LA Angels are flying. Running second in the AL West, only to the Houston Astros, the Angels finally have a hold on their fortunes.

Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout are operating a tandem of power hitting, and their pitching is falling into place. But even as they took the Blue Jays in an unfortunate 11-10 loss on Sunday, they made sure that fans in Anaheim had some memories to take back home. With a long fly ball making its way to the stands, Anaheim fans were too happy to oblige.

LA Angels Fan manages a crazy catch
With the LA Angels tied with the Blue Jays at the bottom of the 4th, Jared Walsh dispatched a pitch deep into the stands to extend the Angels into the lead with a scoreline reflecting 8-6 in their favor. But as happy as the Anaheim faithful would have been with those runs, one fan left the ballpark much happier courtesy of a stunning catch that he pulled off in the top tier.

Clutching a pair of beer cans with his left hand the fan managed to hold onto the home run with his right while keeping his beers completely intact. Impressing not just his fellow fans, the commentators too appeared impressed at the play the fan had made.

The fan, sporting LA Angels’ red, will be disappointed to leave the ballpark on the back of a loss. The Angels leave the series with the Toronto Blue Jays on a low after being swept by the side in a four-game series.
Although they started their season with several positives, the Angels seem to have come upon their stumbling block. And with their next series up against the pace-setting New York Yankees, nothing is definite. They will certainly be up for the challenge, but can they deliver?
