Recently, the current Yankees player, Jose Trevino, shared a fanboy moment with the former Yankees captain, Derek Jeter. Currently, Jeter is promoting his upcoming documentary, The Captain. Trevino met Jeter at the premiere of ‘The Captain’ on Sunday.

During his 20 years of MLB career, Jeter won five World Series titles with the New York Yankees. Ever since Jeter’s retirement, the Yankees have not won any major title in MLB. However, this year, the Pinstripes might end their title drought, given their current form.

Many people might not know, but Jose Trevino has been a lifelong fan of Derek Jeter. And when he met Jeter on Sunday, he had his moments with his idol. Talkin Yanks shared an image of compiled tweets of Trevino on Jeter.

After going through the tweets, one can say that Trevino has been idolizing Jeter for a long time. In one of the tweets, Trevino said, “My kids will know about Derek Jeter, just how I knew about Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris.”

Taking to Twitter, Trevino reacted to a video and confirmed Derek Jeter as his childhood hero. “You would be too if you met your childhood hero,” the Yankees star tweeted.
