It seems like the New York Yankees have found a gem in Oswaldo Cabrera. Since Cabrera made his big league debut, he has been remarkable for the Pinstripes in the ballparks. His sheer dedication and concentration in the game have been nothing but outstanding, probably the biggest positive for the Pinstripes in the last few weeks.
And considering Isiah Kiner-Falefa has struggled the entire season, Oswaldo Cabrera might be the best option for the Pinstripes. The Yankees rookie has not even played ten big league games, and he has already impressed fans with his outstanding plays in the ballpark.

Earlier on Saturday, during the Yankees v/s Blue Jays, once again, Cabrera pulled off the iconic Derek Jeter impression and got the job done. Not to forget, he also grabbed a spectacular catch while diving into the third base, similar to Jeter’s memorable catch in the Old Yankee Stadium.
Is Oswaldo Cabrera the next Derek Jeter?
As earlier mentioned, it has not been a week since the Yankees called Oswaldo Cabrera from their Triple-A squad. And he is already showing glimpses of a great infielder. While playing against the Blue Jays in the last game of the series, when the Blue Jays batter hit the ball, Cabrera grabbed the ball and took a ridiculous jump to throw the ball, just like how Derek Jeter did it in the 1998 MLB season.

Taking to Twitter, Takin’ Yanks shared the video of the same. One can see the outstanding play by Cabrera. His attitude and dedication are pretty similar to Jeter’s

Although the Yankees won the game, this play by Cabrera was the highlight of the game. He has been putting on brilliant performances game after game. And if he continues to play like this, then the Yankees will not mind starting him over Isiah Kiner-Falefa on a regular basis.
Are the Yankees strong enough to compete against the Mets?
It is well-known that the Pinstripes have become a struggling side after the All-Star break. And even though the Yankees lost the series to the Blue Jays, their win in the last game will boost their confidence to play the upcoming series against the New York Mets.

Not to forget that the Mets have already swept the Yankees in a two-game series this season. And given the current scenario, the Mets have a better record this season than the Yankees.
What is more horrifying for the Pinstripes is that Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom will be the starting pitchers for the Mets, two of the best in the business.
