Business magnate Alex Rodriguez recently sat down and talked about his story from Major League Baseball to becoming a Venture Capitalist. There he got asked if he got the inspiration to come into the business from his mother. Surely the question was true, but A-Rod had a bit more to add to it.
Agreeing that the inspiration came from his mother, he added that his father played a role in it as well. “It’s just watching mom and dad hustle… I just thought it was fascinating… Around the age of 10, I had two dreams, I call it the two B’s. I wanted to be involved in baseball, and I wanted to be in business.”
Luckily for him, it worked out pretty well. Rodriguez added that as he looks back at his life and sees everything that he’s done, to him, it feels like he has never worked a day in his life.

Therefore, by the time starting ‘A-Rod Corp’ came to his mind, he had only Rolex in his hands but no funds. So, he sold Rolex to start his investment firm. Since then, the then eighteen-year-old hasn’t stopped and does not look like stopping any time soon.
