Soon after Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez started playing baseball professionally, he started his investment firm, ‘A-Rod Corp’. Since then, his career in baseball and business has grown exponentially. His inspiration roots back to the time when he was still a kid. Watching his parents hustling and trying to make the ends meet for the family planted the seed in him to become an investor one day. 

Notably, he did become a businessman after a successful MLB career. And he got good enough at it that people do come to him for advice. Also, he is not the one to shy away from proudly talking about people in his life. So when he got the chance, he talked about the root of his inspiration.

Business magnate Alex Rodriguez recently sat down and talked about his story from Major League Baseball to becoming a Venture Capitalist. There he got asked if he got the inspiration to come into the business from his mother. Surely the question was true, but A-Rod had a bit more to add to it.

Agreeing that the inspiration came from his mother, he added that his father played a role in it as well. “It’s just watching mom and dad hustle… I just thought it was fascinating… Around the age of 10, I had two dreams, I call it the two B’s. I wanted to be involved in baseball, and I wanted to be in business.”
