The Yankees hoped that additional help would come for them before the trade deadline, but to their disappointment, the management only acquired a couple of hands. The Yankees only acquired Keynan Middleton and Spencer Howard from the Chicago White Sox and Texas Rangers, respectively. The current Yankees players are now left on their own this season.

While addressing the issue, the Yankees’ captain, Aaron Judge, said, “It’s on us as players. We’re fully capable with the guys we’ve got in this room to go out there and compete on a daily basis.”

Similarly, in a press conference, Carlos Rodon said, “We are definitely not playing good baseball. We’re just gonna have to scratch our way out of it. We’re gonna have to claw our way and climb out of the hole. It’s in front of us, win or lose. Every day you get a chance to win or lose. Right now, we’re losing.”

The Yankees have not faced this significant danger of finishing off in last place since 1990, which led to major management changes in the team. Would this time also, the Yankees see changes in the management?
