As a player, Derek Jeter stayed purely focused on his field duties. He hated distractions caused by the media. So he cleverly kept the public attention confined to his sporting success alone. Jeter mostly maintained silence on issues regarding his personal life.

However, post-departure from his sporting profession, Jeter is now a much-changed man. He has gone comparatively more vocal on the social circuit. Jeter has now come up with an online trading card platform titled ‘Arena Club’. He himself was a passionate baseball card collector during his childhood. 

Posting the news on Twitter, Jeter stated, “One week ago, our great team launched ‘Join Arena Club’. We are proud of building a community focused on trust, clarity and transparency and excited about what we bring to the table in this industry.”

According to a report, speaking on the new business plan, Jeter said, “It’s all about the team and the people you’re with. I’ve always prided myself on knowing what I don’t know. I’m big on understanding that you have to have good teammates. You surround yourself with people who are knowledgeable and experts in particular fields. I think that’s how you build any great business.”

The man post-departure from the playing days 

Jeter’s passion for baseball still kept him connected to the sport post-retirement. He turned into the CEO and co-owner of the Miami Marlins in 2017. However, he resigned from the post in 2022. Now he lives a dedicated family life and contributes to the welfare of society in any manner possible.
