New York Yankees are by far the wealthiest and biggest team in the entire MLB. They even spent over half a billion dollars in 2022’s off-season. The Yanks’ biggest recruitment would be considered the re-signing of their exceptional outfielder Aaron Judge. The team’s spring training roster recently broke their four games winless streak, giving their fans a ray of hope about their future. However, a recently bold prediction made by the team’s owner, Hal Steinbrenner, about their play in the 2023 season did not sit well with the fans. 

Hence, the largest fanbase of MLB resorted to mocking their own team’s management, aka the Steinbrenner family. However, one of the main reasons for the mockery would be the World Series drought the team has been facing for over 13 years. The fanbase is frustrated and isn’t shying from showing their emotions.

Yankees reporter Bryan Hoch posted the owner’s statement on his Twitter handle, which is now gathering a late of bitter comments. According to Hoch, Steinbrenner said, “Do I think we’re good enough to win a championship now? The answer is yes. But we’ve got to stay healthy.”

Players getting on the injured list and not being able to come off of it is an issue for almost every team. And this statement by Hal has made fans doubt their athletes’ health.
