“In order for us to have growth in the game, we need our kids. And we need to get our kids back engaged. When I grew up, I remember being a 10-year-old boy. I have been in love with baseball for a really long time. My father played baseball… Baseball was the No. 1 sport in America… We have to get kids back involved,” A-Rod said in 2016.
Whether one likes him or not for his game or many other reasons, A-Rod knows a thing or two about the game. And why not? With the kind of experience he has, the Yankees legend is very crucial for the game, even if he does not play anymore.
