The Yankees’ captain Aaron Judge played a significant role in this change in fortune. He has been crucial for the Bronx Bombers this season. Most recently, fans celebrated as his top-drawer performance helped the team secure a convincing win.

Judge has been a crucial cog in the Yankees’ success in recent weeks. Since returning from a hip injury, his form has been on another level, with many clutch performances. This most recent game only highlighted his top form. 

Aaron Judge smashes two home runs

Most recently, the Yankees secured a comfortable win over the in-form Seattle Mariners. Aaron Judge led the charge in this game with two home runs. Furthermore, in the top of the 6th, he took away a home run from Teoscar Hernandez. Judge made an unbelievable defensive play to prevent Hernandez’s shot from going into the stands. This overall performance even led to MVP chants for the Yankees’ captain at T-Mobile Park. Fans have reacted to his two home runs and shown immense support. Top MLB insider Bryan Hoch shared updates from the game, including Judge’s highlight plays via Twitter.

In a Tweet, MLB insider Hoch said, “#ALLRISE. Aaron Judge hits his 16th home run of the season, a two-run shot off the left-field foul pole.” He also shared a similar Tweet announcing Judge’s second home run of the night. The second big hit was toward center field.

Aaron Judge has hit 17 home runs so far this season. At this time last year, he had hit 18 home runs. That means he is just 1 big hit behind his pace last season. If he can maintain his good form, Judge may reach a similar number of home runs to last year. It will be interesting to see how long this form will last. Although the numbers look promising, only time will tell if Judge can match his historic 2022 numbers.
