After enjoying a career worthy of the Hall of Fame, baseball icon Derek Jeter proudly hung up his pinstripes in 2014. Within a month of retiring from the big league, Captain Clutch announced the launching of his media website, The Player’s Tribune. The promotion of the website continued for more than a month. And in November, the iconic shortstop landed in Las Vegas to deliver a speech at the Goldman Sachs technology conference.

However, never in his right mind would Jeter have thought he would run into a famous person from his past. For the unversed, in his bachelor days, Derek Jeter was known to be a man who has had several romantic relationships. Thus, he had a long list of women that he dated. 

Who did Derek Jeter have an awkward encounter with?

At the conference at which the former Yankee was present to give a speech, he ran into another speaker. That speaker turned out to be Jeter’s romantic fling of ’04, Jessica Alba. But when the two met again, the actress was already married for years and a mother of two. At the same time, Jeter was then dating supermodel Hannah Davis.

The former athlete and the actress dated for around a month. Then they met each other a decade later. At the afterparty at Hyde Bellagio Nightclub, the two spent ten minutes talking to each other. The details of their conversation are yet to be known, but according to TMZ, they apparently talked about the actress’ kids and Jeter’s retirement. 

Considering Derek Jeter’s long list of popular dates (according to rumors), supermodel Hannah Jeter (formerly Davis) wouldn’t be too thrilled with her beau chit-chatting with his ex-girlfriend.

After retiring from MLB, Derek Jeter focused on his media platform for athletes. Other than this, his primary focus was on building his family. The ex-athlete proposed to his then-girlfriend Hannah Davis a year into his relationship.

Another year after that, the couple got married. And in the next year, in 2017, together they welcomed their first child into the world. Since then, they have become parents to two more kids and proudly raise them in Miami.
