Who are Mason White’s parents?
Mason White was born to Ben White and Brandy White, and they raised their family in Arizona. While Mason’s achievements on the field are getting national attention, his values, and also the love of the game, were forged way before and right at home.
Ben White, his father, is no stranger to the diamond himself. He is a former pitcher for the Arizona Wildcats from 1993 to 1996. Now in his freshman year, Ben posted a 1-1 record with two saves and a 5.28 ERA. Then, by his sophomore year, he became a regular starter. He made 13 starts and finished with a 4-8 record. He had a 7.09 ERA, but he was ranked eighth overall in Six Pax pitching and was recognized as one of the top pitchers in the Pacific 10 Conference Southern Division.
As for Mason’s mother, Brandy White, she has kept his public profile rather private. But her presence in Mason’s journey to MLB has been just as important. Now Ben also has a younger brother named Dane White. And the sports lineage runs deep; Mason’s uncle Darren Dabiel played college football for Arizona. And his grandfather, Tim White, also played baseball for the Wildcats. So Arizona is in the blood!
Ben White on his Son’s MLB Career
Ben White is nothing but a proud dad. After Mason made his college World Series debut, Ben said, “To see him on that field is going to be surreal. It was a dream of mine forever that wasn’t achieved, but it’s been a dream of Mason’s probably since he was five years old. Ever since he knew what Omaha was.”

While Ben and Tim had played for Arizona, Mason was actually the first in the family to reach the College World Series. “Mason is by far the best baseball player to come out of our family,” Ben admitted proudly. And well, look, he is here in the Boston Red Sox now, so it is true. Ben also had talked about Mason’s childhood and his love for the game. He was always chasing the foul balls and was glued to Arizona’s baseball.
What nationality are Mason White’s parents?
Both Ben and Brandy White are American. Ben was born and raised in Arizona, and the local connection has continued through the generations. Ben began his baseball journey at Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson. He was initially committed to Pima Community College, but eventually he landed at the University of Arizona. This is where he built a great collegiate career, too. Mason’s grandfather, Tim White, played for the Wildcats, and the family has roots in Tucson, Arizona.
