Tony Vitello’s Net Worth 2025
Tony Vitello’s on-field success is mirrored by his paycheck. Vitello’s estimated net worth has reached $4 million, with a reported monthly income of around $333,000 and an annual income of approximately $4 million.
Tony Vitello’s Contract and Salary
Let’s just say Tony Vitello’s contract is a lucrative one. As of October 2025, Tony Vitello is under contract with the University of Tennessee through June 30, 2029, following a five-year extension announced in August 2024. As for last year, he made a base salary of $350,000 for holding the position.
Now add an extra $1.15 million in “supplemental pay” tied to the university’s broadcast and consulting deals. That brings his guaranteed annual income in 2024 to somewhere around $1.5 million. Vitello is under contract with Tennessee through 2029. He is currently negotiating a potential move to Major League Baseball with the San Francisco Giants.

Performance bonuses make up a big part of Vitello’s deal. Taking the Vols to the College World Series earned him an extra $98,000. That’s about 28% of his base salary. Advancing to the Championship Series bumped that bonus to $112,000 (32%), and if Tennessee wins it all, he’ll take home $140,000, or 40%.
Tony Vitello’s Coaching Career
Tony Vitello has compiled an impressive 341-131 record over eight seasons as head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers. He began his coaching career as an assistant at Missouri from 2003 to 2010, before moving on to TCU (2011–2013) and Arkansas (2014–2017).
Since taking over at Tennessee in 2018, he has transformed the program into a powerhouse. Tony Vitello is well known for his ability to develop future MLB talent, including AL Cy Young contender Garrett Crochet and former Texas Ranger Ian Kinsler.
If appointed to the San Francisco Giants, Vitello’s move would mark a rare leap from college baseball directly to the MLB dugout. While others, like Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy, made the transition after years of minor league or big league experience, Vitello’s direct jump is a bit surprising. But at the same time, it speaks to the Giants’ willingness to embrace bold, unconventional choices.
Although reports suggest the Giants are close to finalizing a deal with Vitello, the coach himself cautioned, “Nothing is done.” That means no agreement is official yet and The Giants have not commented publicly.
Other candidates, such as former Orioles manager Brandon Hyde and ex-catcher Nick Hundley were also in consideration. Hundley, however, is now expected to remain with the Texas Rangers in his current role.
Is Tony Vitello married?
Yes, Tony Vitello is married to Lindsey Vitello. Lindsey is a private individual who prefers to stay out of the public eye. She works as a public relations specialist and is known to be a supportive partner to Tony, assisting him in balancing his demanding career with family life. The couple has two children and maintains a low-profile lifestyle.
