Pittsburgh Pirates legend Dave Parker, also known as “The Cobra,” is sadly no longer with us as of 28th June, 2025. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s back in 2012. Since then, he bravely battled the condition for more than a decade. He was settled in Loveland, Ohio, with his wife, Kelly Crockett Parker, and six children whom he left behind.

Who was Dave Parker’s wife, Kellye Crockett Parker?
The wife of late Pirates legend Kellye Crockett Parker had always been Dave Parker’s support throughout his battle with Parkinson’s disease. “We’re just living our best life,” said Kellye back in 2019. Despite the disease, the couple had always lived together to their fullest. Just outside of Cincinnati, the couple made a beautiful home in Loveland, Ohio. With Kellye, Dave Parker had three children.
They had been married for over 35 years until Dave Parker took his last breath. He retired from Major League Baseball back in 1991. He became a ball of fire and enjoyed his post-retirement life with Kellye. Even after retirement, Parker didn’t lose the hang of baseball.

He mentored young rising players who had the same vision he had when he was young. Apart from that, Parker also used to help Kellye operate her outlet. The couple had purchased a Popeyes fried chicken franchise in Cincinnati.

The vision behind the foundation was to make people aware of Parkinson’s disease. In the United States, it’s the second most common neurodegenerative disease, which has affected millions of people over the years. It was cofounded and co-led by Parker’s wife, Kellye.
Was Dave Parker married before Kellye?
Actually, yes. Before getting married to Kellye, Dave Parker had a long-term relationship with Stella Miller Parker. It was back in the mid-1970s to 1980, and their relationship was described as “common-law marriage.”
Dave Parker’s other three children were likely from Stella Miller. The couple was married for approximately 6 years, from 1974 to 1980. Their relationship didn’t last much.

Did Dave Parker and Kellye Crockett get a divorce?
Parker had established himself as a legend all across the league during his prime, but there was more to him. He had always been a family man. He had been a devoted husband, a supportive and loving father, and above all, he was a man who cared for values.
For three and a half decades, Kellye Crockett had been Dave’s true supporter. They tied the knot on February 14th, 1984, and remained married for 35 years.

So, there is no record of their separation or divorce. She was his primary caregiver when he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. The couple had always shared a beautiful bond and remained married for 35 years.
