Francisco Lindor might have gone 2-for-4 on Sunday, but he went 10-for-10 in the husband department for sure—just ask his wife, Katia.

On Mother’s Day, Katia Lindor shared a touching moment on Instagram. She shared several videos and photos of the precious time of her giving birth to her babies. She shared how she spent Mother’s Day with her three children. And she also shared the lonely bouquet sent by her husband.

But perhaps one of the most unforgettable gifts wasn’t delivered in a vase—it was delivered over the left field wall. And Katia was in the stands, witnessing it live. With the game tied 2-2 in the eighth inning against the Chicago Cubs, Francisco Lindor stepped up and did what stars do—he made magic. He jumped all over a sweeper, sending it into the Mets’ bullpen and putting New York ahead 3-2. And for once, the always composed shortstop let his emotions fly. Pounding his chest and shouting towards the dugout, he was thrilled. Katia posted on her stories the home run reel and captioned, “A birthday HR and a Mother’s Day one too.”

After the game, Lindor said,Today, I just wanted to make sure I did something for the boys.” Lindor added, “I wasn’t trying to hit a home run; I was just trying to have a quality at-bat and let the big boys do what they do. Then the emotions just came out. I definitely had my mom in my mind, and my sisters and my wife. Definitely had them in my mind.” And what can be a better gift than this? In fact, the dugout didn’t just celebrate—they responded. Pete Alonso doubled, and Mark Vientos followed with another RBI single. Brandon Nimmo also blew it open with a 381-foot blast.

So just like that, the Mets finished with a 6-2 win. Manager Carlos Mendoza couldn’t help but talk about the emotions that Lindor showed. “I thought he showed a bit more (emotion) today, to be honest with you. He’s built for this moment. It’s never too big for him, and that’s what great players do.” Well, by the end of the day, Lindor’s batting average climbed above .300, and his ninth home run gave him the lead among MLB shortstops. For Katia, sure, those flowers she got were meaningful, but the home run timing made everything oh so special. A home run on Mother’s Day—simply perfect. Lindor sure did perfect winning on and off the field.

Francisco Lindor steals the show on Mother’s Day with stunning cleats

Francisco Lindor didn’t just deliver at the plate on Mother’s Day—he might also have won the style game, too. During the Mets’ win over the Cubs, Lindor rocked probably one of the best cleats on the diamond. Now, most players were rocking a special kick for Mother’s Day. But Lindor’s pair was just so stunning, it stole the show.

He laced up in a pink and gold colorway of his second signature shoe with New Balance. It is a heartfelt tribute to moms everywhere. The model hasn’t yet hit the shelves, so these might just be exclusives. New Balance first dropped the Lindor 2 almost two years ago, and since then, they have been rolling out colorways that reflect the All-Star’s personality on and off the field. For sure, Shohei Ohtani may have taken on the role as the face of New Balance Baseball, but Lindor still is a key player in that conjunction.

Now, of course, the demand will soar for the pink and gold edition to be available. But nothing is official now. However, there are several pairs and colorways available that one can still pick up, and both adults’ and kids’ sizes. They are going to be priced between $70 and $130 and available at the official New Balance site. From the cleats to the trainers, the collection has that flair and performance that people come back for more.
