As the Dodgers gear up for a do-or-die Game 6, the one thing still haunting both the clubhouse and the fans is their struggling offense. The team’s World Series batting average sits at just .210, with a .650 OPS. And apart from that 6-run outburst in the 18th inning of Game 3, the Dodgers haven’t managed to score more than six runs in any game since the Division and Championship Series.

So, with big names like Mookie Betts and Max Muncy still quiet at the plate, manager Dave Roberts had no choice but to shake up the lineup once again. Could this finally be the moment for Hye-seong Kim to step in and spark the offense, or will he finish this World Series watching from the bench?
Once again, he didn’t make the final lineup and will likely be watching from the bench.

Roberts’ objective for the lineup change is to infuse more energy into the offense. Result? Mookie Betts slid down another spot, from third to fourth in the order. Tommy Edman got his first start in center field this postseason, which opened up second base for Miguel Rojas, hitting ninth.
And it looks like the Dodgers are hoping to create more opportunities for the top, especially since leadoff man Shohei Ohtani has had only seven plate appearances with runners on base all series.

But keeping Hye-seong Kim out seems like an interesting choice, considering his versatility.

He can play second base, shortstop, or even in the outfield. Given that Betts has been struggling badly, going just 3-for-23 (.130) without an extra-base hit through the first five games, Kim, who hit .280 during the regular season, could’ve provided a much-needed spark.
But for now, his only postseason action remains that brief appearance in Game 4 of the Division Series against Philadelphia back on the 10th.

The Dodgers are looking to force Game 7 with a revamped lineup
Here is the complete final lineup of the Dodgers for Game 6:
- Shohei Ohtani, DH
- Will Smith, C
- Freddie Freeman, 1B
- Mookie Betts, SS
- Teoscar Hernandez, RF
- Max Muncy, 3B
- Kike Hernandez, LF
- Tommy Edman, CF
- Miguel Rojas, 2B
One of the most notable tweaks is the addition of Miguel Rojas at second base. Notably, Rojas quietly put together a solid regular season, hitting .262 with a .715 OPS. Hence, the Dodgers are counting on his reliable glove and hoping he can connect on a big hit when it matters most. Still, Kim, a 4x KBO Golden Glove winner, was left behind in the race!
However, the biggest X-factor for the Dodgers tonight is their starter, Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
The ace retakes the mound after becoming the first pitcher in 24 years to throw back-to-back complete games in the postseason! And now, the Dodgers are banking on one more dominant outing from him to keep their title hopes alive.
