Derek Jeter graced the baseball diamond as a champion. He walked up to the batting plate and smashed the ball with ease. He also contributed to his shortstop duties as a commendable natural-born leader. But there is one turf that Jeter feels uncomfortable setting his foot upon. 

Derek Jeter is a baseball legend, who became an iconic image with the New York Yankees jersey. He played his entire MLB career as a Yankees loyalist. He established a reputation as one of the greatest shortstops to play the sport. Jeter is a 14-time All-Star member and five-time World Series champion. 

Derek is married to his supermodel wife, Hannah Jeter. A famous personality in the world of fashion, Hannah is familiar with ramp walks. Unfortunately, that confidence, however, doesn’t pass on to Derek. Speaking at an event, he once expressed his fear of the runway.

Derek Jeter is no stranger to fashion events. He tied the knot with supermodel, Hannah Jeter, in 2016. Prior to his marriage, he also previously dated other women from the modeling profession. But he himself doesn’t feel in his comfort zone with the runway. 

Derek and Hannah once visited the ‘BKLYN Rocks’ fashion show in 2016. The couple was a newly married pair, back then. Both got noticed, sporting their wedding rings. They were in attendance to see Derek’s nephew, Jalen-Jeter Martin, participating. 

Jalen is the son of Derek’s sister Sharlee. The kids of other famous personalities, too, were among the participants. Those involved the children of the likes of CC Sabathia, and Nigel Barker. Talking with ‘Page Six’ at the event, Derek said, “I am into fashion, but I would never walk a runway. I would be too nervous.”

Another guest at the show said, “The celebs were all absolutely giddy watching their children take the runway.” After the show, Sharlee thanked her sibling and his lady for attending the event. According to a source, Sharlee posted on her social network handle stating, “I have the best brother and sister-in-law ever!!!” 

Derek’s life with Hannah at present 

Derek retired from baseball in 2014. Due to his love for the sport, he joined the ownership group of the Miami Marlins in 2017. However, after a brief stint, he gave up the role in 2022. He now leads a peaceful family life with Hannah. They are parents to three daughters.
