New York Yankees have truly been sensational this season. Notably, in the past few years, the Pinstripes failed to leave their mark in MLB. But this time, the Yankees are putting their best foot forward in every game.

It is not that they did not have a good team, but the Aaron Boone-led team failed big time in the past few years, especially in the last season. Given their performance in the 2021 season, everyone expected the Yankees to go alloy in the 2022 free agency. But here they are. They trusted their roster and put their best foot forward.

Consequently, one can see how improved they are, compared to the last season. In Aaron Judge, they have a vigorous leader, and every player has performed whenever getting the chance. If not for the series against the Baltimore Orioles, the Yankees have lost no series this season.

Former NFL legend believes the New York Yankees are on the right track

Whether from the mound or the plate, the Yankees have taken care of every opponent this season. Talking about the resurgence of the Yankees, the NFL legend, Boomer Esiason, explained the mindset of the Yankees’ players.

Esiason said that after their series loss against the Orioles, the Yankees have not looked back. Because a team that contains MVPs and Cy Young Award, winners should play like this.

“The Yankees are taking care of business,” the NFL legend said. “When they started this season, if you remember, early in their season, they lost two out of three to the Baltimore Orioles. And we were just livid… This is how they lost the AL East last year and things of that nature… Since that time, they have really gone out and done everything that a team filled with MVPs, and Cy Young award winners do.”

He even compared the payroll of the Yankees with the Orioles and said the Yankees should make no excuses after that loss.

“They have invested over $250 million in this team and the team should be beating a team that has invested about $30 million in their team. They should make no excuses,” said Esiason. “And they are doing exactly what they had to do all the way through the month of May.”
