Giancarlo Stanton was a potential deal for the Yankees that they cracked with The Miami Marlins. However, the management never thought it would fail so pathetically. Aaron Judge’s Possible Fixes for Giancarlo Stanton

Since the Yankees’ October doors got shut, their Captain addressed several issues, and he even expressed his intentions to sit with the authorities and discuss. In most cases, he never really opened up about his ideas. But Stanton’s case is different. The captain openly shared what he is planning for the star outfielder. Judge explained, “I think if we give him the chance to just keep him in the outfield a little bit longer, keep him moving, that’s the biggest thing,”

Further, he addressed his experience as a DH to elaborate his point. The star slugger said, “It’s tough to go from just kind of sitting on the bench to hitting. You’re really not in the game as much as you are when you’re playing defense. I think if there’s a way we can find a way to mix him in the outfield a little bit more, keep him moving, that’ll help him out.” Well, Stanton probably really needs this help, as if not for Carlos Rodon, he would be the most disappointing player of the season.

Throughout the season, he appeared for 101 games and has a .695 OPS. Though he has 24 Home Runs in his passion, they still can’t make up for his poor .191 batting average. Also, Stanton’s OPS has been continuing going downward for the last three seasons. However, Stanton’s poor performance not only attracted fixes from Aaron Judge, but another former Yankees player shared his views on him.

A 5X World Series Champion Player Talked About His Observation on Stanton

Well, we are talking about David Cone. The retired player had played in different teams and observed several players. So, when he watched Stanton’s playing style, he had his observations on him. During an interview, the former Mets player stated the Yankees outfielder’s positioning of his lower body is a great problem. The 33-year-old player runs slowly as he tries to prevent injuries. Another observation that the former player landed is, “Giancarlo Stanton needs to be a guy that if you throw a first-pitch fastball to, he’s gonna murder it.” However, to reach the point the outfielder needs to go through improvements.

Off-forms are common in sports. Players often suffer from poor performance, but they eventually get back to their forms. However, only time will say if the Yankees will give Stanton the time or not.

Growing up in a family where sports was a topic of daily discussion, baseball drew my interest the most. I admired the post-retirement journey of Alex Rodriguez and the rise of Shohei Ohtani and Elly De La Cruz to stardom in the current baseball generation. Forever enamored by Bryce Harper and the way his career is progressing, I love covering most East Coast teams. When not writing, you can always find me at the library, buried between the pages of a book. “There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so,” from Shakespeare’s Hamlet is a favorite for me. When not surrounded by words, I’m usually in the battlefields of COD and Fortnite!
