September 11 is a day that holds great importance in the life of every US citizen. The day when more than 2000 people lost their lives because of the suicidal terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, marked its 21st anniversary yesterday. To honor the victims who lost their lives, New York Yankees hitter Domingo German ran across the Yankee Stadium just like the way Sammy Sosa used to.

Having made his debut in the Major Leagues five years ago, German grew up watching baseball star players like Sammy Sosa and many others, which reflect in his gesture.

Why did Domingo German honor the victims via Sammy Sosa style?

The only thing one can do is honor the victims in whatever way possible. German decided to do it the way he saw the Hank Aaron award winner Sammy Sosa do it. He still remembers watching Sosa on television running around the ballpark with the American flag in his hand to honor the victims.

He held the American flag in one of his hands and ran on the field to pay tribute to the ones who lost their lives all those years ago.

How did the fans react to the tribute paid by German?

Even though some of the fans applauded Domingo’s gesture, most of them are still not over the incident that happened with his girlfriend.

Most of the fans of the game cannot let this good gesture from him overcome his past.

People have a choice to make up their minds, and they did. While many of them still not think of the gesture as a good thing because of his past, some still believes it was a good thing that German did.
