Amidst the turmoil, a glimmer of hope took shape for a young man named Jackson, who is now battling his second cancer diagnosis. It came in the form of Rizzo, who recently discovered that Jackson was going through his treatments with a custom-made Yankees helmet. The said helmet had the NYY logo, Rizzo, and 48 drawn on it. After watching those pictures, the Yankees star could not help but bring the joy of normalcy, and the thrill of a dream come true for his young fan. Therefore, the baseball player invited Jackson and his family to a game. By doing so, he fulfilled the young man’s dream of watching a Yankees game from the stadium.
After beating Cancer the first time, Jackson is now battling through his second cancer diagnosis. Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation, working entirely toward benefitting cancer research and families fighting this brutal disease, posted Jackson’s story on their Twitter handle. With the story, they also posted Jackson in a Yankees jersey and Rizzo beside him with a smile on their faces. Hopefully, Jackson forgot about all his troubles for a moment and happily lived his dream.

A few days ago, during a Yankees game, Rizzo scared the baseball world with a potential injury. Sometime during the game, he got hit by a pitch and instantly fell on the ground on his knee. Although the slugger continued playing, it did not eliminate the possibility of him going on the injured list. But, as the sun rose again, there was Rizzo, ready and powered up to fight for his team.
