The Snakes’ ballpark is unique for a cool feature – a pool. No other MLB ballpark can boast about it, although most teams love to come here and take a dive. But Arizona has now apparently changed the rules. It circles back to the Dodgers-Dbacks rivalry circa 2013. Here?s a look at the controversy engulfing the Dodgers and how it affected Rangers? current Fall Classic championship celebrations!

Texas Rangers Refrain World Series Winners From a Dip in the Pool

The LA Dodgers’ 2013 World Series victory against the Diamondbacks is surrounded by a troublesome conflict. Amid celebrations, they even went as far as contamination. Multiple reports reiterate that the Dodgers urinated in the swimming pool after they won. Dodger Scribe?s Tony Jackson reported that at least one Dodgers player relieved himself in the Chase Field pool, while simultaneously boasting of it. It was enough to keep the D-Backs on guard, who heavily tightened security.

Jomboy Media jokingly referred to the scene as “Security acting like the pool is Buckingham Palace” as guards surrounded the area, distanced to cover the entire boundary.

It does not come as a surprise that the club has a healthy measure of skepticism against permitting pool celebrations. Since the opening of the pool in 1998, it has been an iconic part of the Arizona stadium.

But this however did not apply to the Rangers, who defeated the Snakes in Game 5 with a lead of 5-0. They had to do away with a dry celebration bereft of the pool.

However, this did not dampen the spirits of the Texas Rangers grabbing victory for the first time in their 63-year history. With a champagne celebration at the clubhouse, the team was certainly on cloud nine, as they should be, hugging family and friends!
