Yu Darvish has a record of 13 strikeouts in the year 2007 for the Nippon-Ham Fighters. He now plays for the Chicago Cubs. Darvish had a remarkable game and matched the record. However, it was now in the name of a young Japanese player, Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Witnessing the series by Yamamoto, Buffaloes manager, Satoshi Nakajima said, “Regardless of the pitch count, I was betting this entire game on Yoshinobu”. This shows the capabilities of the player.
