Both Colin Cowherd and Smoltz talked about the rise of the New York Mets. They also discussed the future of star players like Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, and Aaron Judge.

The future of Aaron Judge: A matter to ponder upon
The meteoric rise of Aaron Judge has taken the entire baseball community by storm. Judge’s presence in the New York Yankees has shaped the Yankees into an unbeatable force. Judge now leads this season’s home run tally while the Yankees are at the top of the AL East chart. While Judge’s contract with the Yankees is near an endpoint, it’s a hot topic of discussion for each baseball expert panel as to whether Judge will continue to be a Yankee or not.
Podcast host Colin Shepherd spoke of Aaron Judge saying, “He obviously matters a lot because of his stature, his physical…. you know, size! He feels such like a Yankee. He feels he should play for the Yankees. Good looking kid, big size, home runs in a sport now that is very much about home runs and strikeouts.”

Speaking in a tone of agreement, guest and MLB pundit John Smoltz praised Aaron Judge saying, “I think he is one of my favorite players to watch play the game. You root for a guy that big, that nice, that does everything the right way. I agree with you, it just seems like he’s going to be a Yankee.”

John Smoltz is a sporting intellect with an eye for talent. He focused on the importance of Yankees and Aaron Judge playing in tandem for as long as possible. Though facts might point to another face of reality, Smoltz is still optimistic that Judge might remain a lifelong Yankee.
Can Judge have a change of mind and heart?
Yankees’ star slugger Aaron Judge has reportedly turned down a $213.5 million extension contract with his franchise. In his own admission, Judge is rather determined to win the World Series in the ongoing edition. Who knows, a title victory with the Yankees might ignite a change in his decisions.
