Talk about the Coach Prime effect. Philadelphia is celebrating with full vigor tonight after clinching another NLCS spot. Once again, the Phillies did it by defeating the Atlanta Braves, who finished the regular season with over 100 wins. Leading the charge has been Bryce Harper and Nick Castellanos as history-making teammates. But they may have gotten a little help from Deion Sanders.

The retired two-sport athlete spent decades in both MLB and NFL at the same time. While Sanders’ current goal is to take Colorado Boulder’s Buffaloes to new heights, his baseball days are not forgotten. Incidentally, one team he played for was the Braves. But rather than serving as a good luck charm for his former club, Prime Time unintentionally influenced Philadelphia. Now, he’s reacting to it.

Coach Prime’s Reaction to Bryce Harper and Nick Castellanos

Pulling up to Game 3 of the NLDS, all eyes were on the stars of Philadelphia showing up in style. Two among them caught fans’ eyes – Bryce Harper sported a white shirt with Deion Sanders’ face plastered over it in a collage. Nick Castellanos, meanwhile, had on a white hoodie that said ‘Prime’.

Then they proceeded to hit home run after home run in the game, taking Philadelphia to another victory over the Braves. Call it the Prime Effect or call it the Phillies’ hunger for victory. Citizens Bank Park was alive with roars and cheers for their team.

While many have repped the retired two-sport athlete, Coach Prime couldn’t help but react to these two. Posting a picture of the two Phillies stars side-by-side to his Instagram, Sanders simply captioned it “WOW!”

Somehow, the simple exclamation does justice to what the team has managed to establish. It was also apparently a response to Atlanta’s Orlando Arcia’s comments mocking Bryce Harper after his game 2 blunder. The Phillies’ Instagram page posted pictures of the two sluggers with the caption, ?They done messed around.??Which, as it so happens, is a famous Sanders quote.

Harper and Castellanos’ Outfits Were Co-Incidental

Talking to the press following their Game 3 victory, it became clear that the two teammates had not planned their outfits beforehand. It was co-incidental, but that’s what made the message even more powerful.

?From Deion and what he?s doing with the organization, I have become a fan of his and for what he?s able to do for his kids?.I just felt like it was the perfect day to wear it and apparently Bryce thought so too,??Castellanos said.
