New York Giants owner John Mara gifted him a Giants helmet to celebrate the massive birthday. This is for a special reason, as Sterling was bloodied after being hit by a foul ball last month. MLB insider Michael Kay shared a picture of Sterling holding the helmet on Twitter. He also mentioned why the gift is so special. 

In a Tweet, Kay said, “The @Giants ‘ John Mara sent John Sterling a helmet for his birthday to keep him safe from future foul balls in the booth.” This was a truly classy gesture as the millionaire helped the iconic announcer celebrate the moment.
