An unearthed picture recently resurfaced of the Superbowl MVP, NFL star of the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes. The quarterback’s picture is of the time he was a toddler. And if his outfit is taken into consideration, then the NFL star would have had an entirely different career.

The Superbowl champion is not alone in the image. He is in the hands of a former pitcher of Major League Baseball. Who is also his father, Pat Mahomes. Mahomes Sr played in MLB from 1992 to 2003 with six different teams – Minnesota Twins, Mets, Red Sox, Rangers, Cubs, and Pirates. As soon as the photo was put on Twitter, MLB and NFL fans started reacting to it, and in a good way.

Would Patrick Mahomes have played baseball?

At the time when the picture got clicked, Pat was playing for the Minnesota Twins. Therefore, the NFL star, with his father, was wearing the Twins jersey. 

However, when it comes to Mahomes playing baseball instead of football, at one time, the NFL star was leaning towards the game his father played. Having played football, baseball, and basketball in his high school, Mahomes was pretty near to giving up football for baseball. But because of his mother, the Texas Tech college football and Chiefs fans, he did not. 

NFL fans must be pretty glad for Mahomes for choosing football, and he has given every reason for them to think so. 

The number 15, who debuted with the Kansas City Chiefs five years ago, already has multiple awards and records on his name. The quarterback does not look like stopping anytime soon, and his fans wouldn’t want that either.
