In the time that Jeter lived and sold the mansion, the flood warning requirements have already changed. So after the demolition and whatever gets built in its place, it will be at least six feet higher than the house.

Ian made its landfall at 4.30 am, Eastern time. Also, it was reportedly producing maximum sustained winds of about 125 miles per hour. If Ian increases its speed by 5 mph, the hurricane would be classified as a major category 4 storm. Meanwhile, South Florida is expecting heavy rainfall as does the Florida Keys.
